Healthy Halloween Treats For Your Pup

Halloween is right around the corner and if you plan on making it spook-tacular, you're going to need some festive treats for your pooch too! Nothing beats homemade, in my opinion.

For the most part, I try to avoid buying treats for my pups, as they have very sensitive tummies. I find that many brands can be really unhealthy. Luckily, there are super easy, healthy and delicious recipes you can make at home.

Below are my fur-babies favorite treats!

Purple Frozen Blueberry Delight

Ingredients:

1/2 cup Plain greek yogurt

3/4 cup Blueberries

Directions:

Combine ingredients in a blender until smooth. Add more greek yogurt or blueberries to achieve desired consistency. Pour mixture into regular ice cube trays or halloween molded trays (I like the skulls and pumpkin trays). Freeze for 30 minutes or until solid.

Pumpkin Biscuits

Ingredients:

2 cups Whole wheat flour

1 egg

1/2 cup Organic pumpkin puree, canned

1/3 cup Natural Organic Peanut butter

Directions:

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.

Combine pumpkin, peanut butter, and egg in large bowl. Slowly add flour until dough is no longer sticky. Next, roll out dough between 2 sheets of parchment paper 1/2" thick. Cut out dough with halloween shape cookie cutters. Place on baking tray and bake for 30-40 minutes.

Enjoy!
